Etobicoke Suzuki Music is recognized as one of the first and finest Suzuki programs in Canada. At Etobicoke Suzuki Music, we want to bring the joy of learning music into the home of every family that we serve.
The Suzuki Method
Children all over the world learn to speak their native language or mother tongue with ease, no matter how complex that language might be.
Dr. Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998) believed that the steps involved in language acquisition can be applied to music learning, and that every child is capable of developing musical abilities. The ideas of parent responsibility, loving encouragement, constant repetition, etc., are some of the special features of the Suzuki approach.
Each violin, viola, and cello student learns within a Suzuki Triangle: Child – Parent – Teacher
Core students can participate in chamber music, orchestras, fiddle, music theory, and more.
Suzuki Sprouts Program
Our early childhood music program emphasizes peer learning and parental involvement. For infants to age 4.
Designed as a fun introduction to Suzuki music education and instrument learning, this summer program is a three-day class for prospective families and children ages 3 to 7.
We offer parent and teacher courses that are accredited by the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA).
