ESM Core Program
At Etobicoke Suzuki Music, we offer a Core Instrumental Program for violin, viola and cello students which are taught by ESM faculty. All ESM students receive 36 weekly private lessons and 23 weeks of group classes and activities. The Core Program also includes two annual group concerts, multiple solo recitals, book recitals when appropriate, and an annual full-day workshop.
Private Lessons
Private lessons run for 36 weeks each year, from September to June. Lessons are held at PLAST and various locations in Etobicoke and West Toronto. The lesson day, time, and length are set by mutual agreement between the parent and studio teacher.
Group Classes
All ESM students take part in weekly group classes according to student level.
In addition to instrumental classes, younger students also attend Rhythmic Foundations program which readies them for ensemble playing and music reading. See the Enrichment Programs for details.
Optional classes for older students include instruction in orchestra, theory, and ensemble playing. Senior students may receive chamber music coaching as part of their group experience.
ESM group classes run Monday evenings from September to May.
