Every Child Can!© Course

Every Child Can (ECC!) is an introduction to Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy and its application to Suzuki education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning.

Every Child Can!© (ECC!) Registration:  Winter 2024

Winter 2024 Dates:

Friday evenings, for a total of 5 weeks. Note that 100% class attendance is required to successfully complete the ECC! course.

Location:  Online on Zoom. Details will be sent to registered participants.

Fees:  Fees include the ECC! course materials. 

Non-ESM parent/teacher course fee: C$150.00

SAA Teacher Trainer: Margot Jewell is the artistic advisor and founder of Etobicoke Suzuki Music (ESM) and has been inspiring students and teachers for decades. She received training from many inspiring Suzuki trainers, including a three-month study time in Matsumoto with Shinichi Suzuki in 1985. She is a registered Suzuki Violin Teacher Trainer with the SAA, a festival adjudicator across Canada and a string examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada, the USA and Bermuda.

ECC! Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Video audition not required. Formal musical training is not required.
  • Updated Zoom app/ software
  • Reliable internet connection for Zoom
  • 100% class attendance is required to successfully complete the ECC! course
